Plausibility of online books for modern education

Technology can go to the extremes of a certain aspect of life. Take for example a simple phone transforming into a smart phone. Now, anyone can bank, shop, communicate and browse online with this little device. It also poses the question of security. In the educational sector, technology is always an essential factor weighed in to help create a much better delivery of instruction and interactive experience in the class. More importantly, technology might be able to save millions of dollars for things that have to be replenished every few years.

Books are vital educational materials. However, a book offers information that could be only plausible for several years. Research and development of new book editions are done every 3 to 4 years and this means school districts need to refresh their libraries and student textbook options. They spend a massive amount of money in order to do this. It is not the same for all schools especially in public schools. That is why there is a direction that many are considering about the use of tablets and e-readers to help cut back on the cost of education and make it easier for students to access their books and lighten their load.

E-readers and tablets have been very much popular in the past couple of years and as the prices of these old generation devices go down, more and more people are enticed to buy them. They have also become more multifaceted merging browsing capabilities, social media and many other forms of conveniences for different kinds of people. For students, e-readers are most likely the devices that school districts could consider. Some students think that the idea of online and digital books can revolutionize education and lighten their loads. Some school district officers also think that there is a possibility that e-books can help minimize the acquisition of physical books considerably and save more money in the process.

The fact is that this kind of educational setup still takes a lot of studies and analysis . Some students are not capable of buying themselves e-books. Books will not be totally eradicated from schools but merging traditional with new can offer more opportunities in the future. In some countries, studies and experiments are being done to check if having electronics like tablet computers can affect the attention span and performance of the students. Although the studies are still very limited, there is a possibility that technologies such as these can be helpful.

Yet again, technology has its extremes and so school districts would have to find solutions and controls to ensure that educational devices will function as educational devices. It will still take a number of years before most schools catch on with the concept of education with the help of e-books and tablets but right now, we are seeing a great influx of devices. Soon enough, dedicated systems for such items can be used to help schools in implementing hand held devices inside classrooms and making sure that these are designed to offer better results to the children.

@ Honda450Rooster ...
@Honda450Rooster for everyone 1 person that just wants want they need to live, there are 1000 times more people that are pure consumers, it may not be right, but that is the USA economy
the point to working is to be able to consume, if you only allow people to have what they need to live, they will only work until that is fullfilled,

in todays world, that will be around 3 hours a day at minimum wage, how do you build solar, geothermal, total global system with people not being as productive

Every time I look ...
Every time I look at poor nations and see 1000's of people walking around the place, and does not make sense to me that they are in "poverty." Here you have all this human power, people capable of engineering, research, teaching, and all that... yet they continue to live in those conditions.

I've come to believe that it is not about what you have, but how you think of things and the actions you take.

@ Honda450Rooster ...
@Honda450Rooster Lol, I realize this probably is not the best setting. I agree fully, there has been terrible war and grossness in the name of religion. But I dont think it is fair for you to clump all religions into one category because Christianity is almost fundamentally different than all others, it is good news not good advice. The only reason I say anything on youtube is not to convince anyone of God, but to at least let them think a bit and even consider seeing whatJesussaid forthereself

I have a good feeling about this movement. I don't feel that it's just this that is pointing out that our materialism (now in excess) has not led to our happiness. It's not the "zeitgeist movement" that will change the world. This movie, and the movies like it, simply is an example of the world's intellectual community facing this newly revealed need for life value analysis. Our more heartfelt views already reflect anti-capitalism.
However, if this is to work, individuality must be preserved.

One thing I ...
One thing I especially admire about the OWS and Anon folks is that they will have no truck with any s.o.b,s who attempt to ridicule them with spin (eg Geraldo , Fox News was run off) or who try to co-opt them (eg Russell Simmons and Kenye West ).
It's a pity the ZMF uploader here doesn't have a pair.
Once recognized, a troll should be dealt with at the entry point.
It's absurd to make ZMF and then to let trolls have free rein on this thread.
No wonder the Right prevails so often.

Here is the ...
Here is the problem: there is a lack of trust. A fisherman that acts responsibly and limits the amount he catches will be screwed if all the other fisherman do not. The other fisherman get more fish than he does, make more in profits, and will ultimately deplete the fish population anyway. So each fisherman, believing that the others will take more than their sustainable share, will take as many fish as he can, and the worlds fish supplies will deplete, even though no one wants them to.

I have no problem with folks giving the thumbs down to or even flagging this serial troll who has maliciously and continually flagged folks he does not like.

BUT

I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE RESORTING TO RACIST POSTS - THAT IS INTOLERABLE!

USING THE "N" WORD...THAT IS WAY BEYOND THE PALE...THERE IS FAR TOO MUCH HISTORY BEHIND THAT WORD FOR ANYBODY TO LAMELY CLAIM IT'S JUST A WORD.

WHITE KIDS IN MISSISSIPPI RECENTLY BEAT THEN RAN OVER AND MURDERED A BLACK MAN.

@TheZMSeattle There is no no RBE, so how can one know what it is? You can only know what it claims to advocate, NOT would it would actually turn out like. You seem to forget that we have a little thing called government. Do you honestly think that they would give up their power anytime soon? People have been wanting a society where everyone gets along and has everything they needed since the dawn of man. Try to be a little more realistic when trying to be taken seriously regarding society change

The pain, the ...
The pain, the anguish and the despair that many of you feel when you think about the state of the world today is real. Do not try to escape it. The pain of the reality will just continue to grow underneath the surface until it is dealt with... if dealt with at all. The time really is now. Do not allow your species to wither away in this corrupt system.

You've got to say, 'I'm a HUMAN BEING, God damn it! My life has VALUE!' So I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell, 'I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!' I want you to get up right now, sit up, go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!'

wow I totally forgot about nature creating innovation like a primate that uses a stick to collect ants or a the bird that bent the wire into a hook shape to reach food inside a cylindrical tube during tests (I think you can find that on Youtube) or how about this the bird that uses man -made objects that were created while in the current system to build a nest?....would that bird not have been able to perform that action without the current system in place?

@leanlifter1 What ...
@leanlifter1 What created humans? Humans and what they do isn't exempt from a natural process this planet has. You can't prove that it's not necessary that our mistakes be made. If a meteor were to strike with extinction level power. and an invention(medical innovation or the like) created from the monetary system of economics saves what's left of humans..was it right to have made our money mistakes? What if an American a missile of WAR destroys the meteor... would you thank the American dollar?

@oofay789 With so many people on the planet as it stands when we wake up tomorrow with our level of indoctrination into the Corporatocracy of things at leased as far as Westernized countries go we do need rules laws and enforcement because there are allot of crazy nut bars out there and in the states most of them are armed however I do believe that we can be weened off these Laws and in time become a free thinking singular world wide entity.Until then I do not feel safe unless we have Laws.

this is pretty good, i have only watched 30 minutes.

"what matters?" "it all goes back into the box." that old man that said i pledge alligance to the world and all human kind. i could sit down and have a conversation with this guy, for hours. if you had four to six hours to sit down and just shut up and listen, you could learn so much in one day, than you could ever learn in 10 years.
